When can I expect my order to ship?

If you ordered in-stock items, you can expect your order to be shipped within 3 business days*.  "Business" Days are Monday thru Friday with the exception of Holidays.  We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or US Holidays.  International orders are shipped every Tuesday and Friday.  During our peak season and especially during new releases, it may take a little longer.

If your order includes pre-order items, your entire order will NOT ship until all products are available.  Please check our expected arrival/ship to retailers  date to estimate shipping time.  If you do not want to wait for all items to be in-stock, we recommend placing a seperate order for pre-order items.

 

How do we calculate Shipping?

Our site is linked to receive real-time shipping calculations from the United States Postal Service.  Shipping for all orders is calculated based on package weight and destination.  Delivery confirmation is included with every order shipped.

Due to the limitations of our shopping cart system, we are unable to offer flat-rate shipping services as an option. If your order will fit in a flat-rate box or envelope, and the cost difference is greater than $1.00, we will certainly ship the order flat rate and issue an in-store credit voucher or a refund for the difference.

 

How Do I view My Shipping Costs?

Our site is linked to receive real-time shipping calculations from the USPS and UPS.  Shipping for all orders is calculated based on package weight and destination.  Delivery confirmation is included with every order shipped.

To see how much the shipping rate is for an item(s), simply place the item(s) in your shopping cart.  On the shopping cart page click on the "CALCULATE SHIPPING" button.  Next, select your Country, enter your zip code and click on the "CALCULATE SHIPPING" button.  Available shipping methods and rates will then be displayed.

PLEASE NOTE:  Our business is located in Pennsylvania.  Priority Mail rates to states located on the west coast will calculate higher due to the USPS shipping zones.  We do not set the postage rates, the USPS does.  We have no control over the cost of postage.  When possible, we will ship in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate box and refund our customers the difference.


Do you charge a handling fee for shipping?

We DO NOT charge handling fees for Domestic USPS Priority Mail or Express Mail services as we are generally able to ship orders in boxes or envelopes that are free of charge and provided by those services.  We also recycle shipping supplies sent to us including packaging materials and boxes which allows us to pass great savings onto our customers.

Domestic USPS First Class Mail is charged a small handling fee of $0.30 to cover the cost of Delivery Confirmation and shipping supplies in order provide effective First Class Mail delivery.

International Orders are charged a handling fee of $1.00 for the completion of customs paper work, insuring the package, and physically driving these packages to the post office.  We believe that our rates are very reasonable for international orders.  We do not set the initial rate, that is in the hands of the United States Postal Service.

 

Do You Ship Internationally?

Yes we do!  We are now accepting and shipping orders worldwide!  All prices are in US Dollars.


What types of shipping services do you offer?

DOMESTIC, APO's and US Territories: 

You will have the option to select either United States Postal Services (USPS) or UPS to ship your order.  If your order qualifies for FREE shipping and you choose the FREE Shipping option, your order will be shipped by the carrier of our choice.

1.  USPS Shipping Services:

  • USPS First Class Mail (generally arrives within 2-5 business days from the shipping date)
  • USPS Priority Mail (generally arrives within 1-3 business days from the shipping date.)
  • USPS Express Mail (generally arrives the following business day from the shipping date.)
All shippments include order tracking and delivery confirmation.
PLEASE NOTE:  The USPS does not guarantee delivery within any specific timeframe.  Transit time may be longer during peak periods and holidays.

2.  UPS Services:

  • If you require UPS services, please contact us.

INTERNATIONAL:

International order are dispatched via the USPS. 

  • USPS First Class International Mail:  For packages weighing up to 4 pounds.  Delivery times vary anywhere from 7-21 days from the shipping date depending on the destination.
  • USPS Priority International Mail:  Must be used for packages weighing over 4 pounds.  Delivery time varies between 6-10 days from the shipping date depending on the destination.

All packages exiting the United States will be shipped with the required customs documentation and marked as merchandise.  This is a legal requirement and there are NO exceptions.  Documentation includes product list and value of contents.  You will be resposible for your country's duty, VAT or import taxes.  Please, DO NOT ask us to mark your item as a gift.  It is illegal for us to do so.


What if I want Insurance on my package?

Insurance for USPS packages is optional.  You may add Shipping Insurance to your order during check out; however, The Beary Scrap reserves the right to add insure to any package that we feel necessary.  If we should choose to add insurance to your package, there is no additonal charge to you.

 

Does my order qualify for Free Shipping?

Free shipping promotions are run periodically.  Please see our home page for possible shipping promotions.

When your orders qualifies for free shipping, the method of shipping will be at our discretion, either USPS or UPS.  Please be sure you provide a "residential address" for delivery of your order.

PLEASE NOTE:  Free shipping only applies to orders shipped in its entirety. If you are purchasing pre-order items in addition to in-stock items, your order will not ship until all items are in-stock and ready to ship. If you do not wish to wait for pre-ordered item, please place these orders separately.


I Live Close By. Can I Pick Up My Order?

Local pick-up is not available at this time.

 

What if my order fits in a flat-rate box or envelope?

Due to the limitations of our shopping cart system, we are unable to offer flat-rate shipping services as an option. If your order will fit in a flat-rate box or envelope, and the cost difference is greater than $1.00, we will certainly ship the order flat rate and issue an in-store credit voucher or a refund for the difference.

 

What If My Item(s) Are On Back Order?

If an item is currently out of stock and expected to arrive at our store within a the next couple of days, we will hold your order and ship all items together. 

If it will take several days for that item to return to stock, your order will ship immediately, less the back-ordered item(s).  We will ship the back-ordered item(s) at no additional charge to you when the item becomes available.  We reserve the right to ship back-order items using our carrier and method of choice.

*NOTE:  We do not replenish coordinating paper lines, so if a line sells out, we DO NOT re-order it.  In this instance, you will receive a refund for the product that is out-of-stock.


How do I make a Return or Exchange?

Your satisfaction is our priority.  Returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving your package for a refund or an exchange.  Shipping Charges are NON-REFUNDABLE.  There is a 15% restocking fee for returned merchandise. 

If you have received a defective item, please let us know immediately.

When returning your merchandise for a refund/exchange, you will need to obtain a return authorization from us.  This is only so we are aware that your are returning an item and when we can expect to receive it.  Please email us at info@thebearyscrap.com and let us know.

Merchandise must be in unused, original packaging and suitable for resale.  Please include your invoice or packing slip and the reason for the return.

You are responsible for postage when returning your merchandise.  You may want to insure your return as we cannot be responsible for lost packages.

Refunds via the original payment method will be made once we have received the merchandise in satisfactory condition.
